Not having had a chance to test this function of ID2, it's good to hear that it's not a total sham...
On the whole, I am finding ID2 to be very friendly... love the new print dialogs... the way it handles type... now, transparency :)
It would be good to hear some articles about printing objects with transparency as that was an early issue with AI9.
It would also be nice to hear some about Quark5 to see if it justifies it's price.
thanks, Sandee
I am now looking to move into the InDesign world. But I have all my files in QuarkXPress 6. Is there a way of converting my Quark files into InDesign?
I found your article "On the Move to InDesign: Converting Quark Document and Template Files
How truthfully does InDesign convert XPress files?" by Sandee Cohen. Its dated February 20, 2002. We are now in December 2005 and I was wondering if anyone has a solution. I'm hoping by now someone has come up with some type of filter to convert these file? Can anyone help me.
Here QuarkXpress files can be converted into Indesign files for a small fee, which will save you purchasing the whole conversion software for only a single file or so: www.stokesdesignproject.com/quark-indesign.html

How does InDesign handle brining over fonts with different versions, Truetype vs. Type 1. How does it hand bringing over graphics?
