I think it makes good sense for Adobe to go in this direction, they have the print market cleaned up, need to do some work on the web side (but the products are great), electronic publishing and ebooks are theirs, good road into video and film. This is just a logical next step in the growth of the company, and makes sense in regards to their network publishing strategy...

I think the graphic end of Adobe products and as the author states their foundation is too big of a market to ignore in favor of this "enterprise" endeavor. And even if it does become more lucrative, as it very well might, demand for graphic design tools will always drive an interest somewhere. Either Adobe spins off another company or some enterprising developer will step in and fill the void.
