InDesign still a nightmare in print production

When creating good looking pages, InDesign is superior in many ways to Quark. I really can't argue with that. However, in the world of print production, most reviewers of InDesign haven't a clue about the difficulties, many of them insurmountable, InDesign presents. If you're designing for print, your vision is toast if the RIP keeps crashing, or your spot colors won't separate to the correct plates. At this point, InDesign is far from acceptable in a professional printing environment.

That is why small shops are holding on to Quark!
