"Free Transform tool will eliminate most of the barrel distortion"
The Crop or Free Transform tools will correct perspective, remove keystoning, but they will not effect barrel or pincushion distortion. The Pinch or Spherize filter must be used. I find enlarging the canvas and using the Spherize filter works best.

Panorama tools as Ms. Courtright-Elmer instructs is the best tool for this if critical correction is necessary. Correction files for each lens or focal length can be created and saved.
