You did not thoroughly check out all your facts!!!!!

We're still in business and going strong!
As the owner of the Oakland Rubber Stamp Company I must set the facts straight. Although most of the article was interesting and quite amusing I was a little miffed that you issued a death warrant on the company. The Oakland Rubber Stamp Co. is alive and well in Alameda (and before you ask what is the Oakland Rubber Stamp Co. doing in Alameda, what about the Oakland Raiders) THINK ABOUT IT!!!! We bought the company on October 3,2005. We shut down the Oakland store, liquidated a bunch of stuff and moved to our new digs at 1224 Lincoln Ave in Alameda. Just 7 mins by car from the old location right through the Webster St. Tube. We are open Mon-Fri from 10 am - 6 pm. We can be reached at 510-451-0553. Same number we've had for years. Contrary to your article, we are making $$$ making rubber stamps, engraving signs and nametags and also fabricate & engrave plaques, awards and trophies. We currently produce anywhere from 80-125 stamps a day and they are made using several methods including the old-fashioned wooden handled rubber stamp. And, contrary to your article, all the stamps are made in-house not sent out. So folks, we're far from dead and when it becomes easier for a small business to deal with the City of Oakland we may open another shop their in the future. Most of the pictures featured in the article are on display in our shops showroom. If you have time, take a look at our stamp museum window display next door at our sister company at 1222 Lincoln Ave. Long live Oakland Rubber Stamp Co.!!!!!!!!!!!
