The author is wrong about Peechee's

Read the article... hmmm... a good example of why one can't believe everything one reads on the Internet. Mead's Peechee's are still being manufactured and one can buy them where large selections of school supplies are sold. They come in a few different styles and colors now too. Here is one spot you can get them: http://www.innisbrook.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?DID=7&Product_ID=922&CATID=52

New Old Stock

Actually, Mead no longer manufactures the Pee Chee folder, but some are still available as leftover stock from previous years. Please visit: http://www.mead.com.

Recalibrate the time machine

The first photo, showing writing practice, is from the early 1930's, give or take a few years, not the 50's. The hair and clothing styles are uniquely characteristic of that period. The 50's weren't QUITE that quaint.

Fig. 1 Dating

I highly doubt the Figure 1 photo is from the 1950s. It looks like 1920s or 30s.

School Memories

Read this article. It's great. Remember Pee Chees and Mucilage Glue?

Mead is making Pee Chee folders again

As of 2010, they're back in business, woohoo!

Pee-Chees

Pee-Chees still made and available. Both from Amazon and Mead itself. They presently have at five colors available. This is as July 21st, 2011.
