I downloaded the tryout to give Painter 9 a go. Painter 9 does not have may changes over Painter 8 at all. I like the Artist Oils but the quick clone is nothing much to write home about.
I am waiting for Painter 10 and more NEW features before I buy a Painter upgrade.

If you have Painter 8 why upgrade? 9 is too expensive!
Sure some things are better but the upgrade cost is too much. $229 for the upgrade! A fair upgrade price would be $149.
