Shadow is wrong.

"In this example, I've not only skewed the shadows upward along the sides,"

Given the light direction the shadow should go down the side of the pillar.

Very useful.

I have been using Photoshop since version 1.0, and the surprises of its awesome power seem to never end. There are often multiple methods we can utilize to attain the same final result in PS, and this tutorial taught me a shorter way of accomplishing a task I've done many times, but in a different (better) way. I feel any tips along this line are good. Perhaps a little to basic for an expert, but that is not me.
