Arizona Highways
Being a natvie Arizonian from a pioneer family I was delighted to read this article. Arizona Highways was always one publication that you could find in our home - even through the lean times. In truth Arizona Highways has been a significant influence on my work. Even today family members continue to subscribe to Arizona Highways and the calendar is for some the expected Christmas gift. I have several boxes of those old issues - may be time to get them out and have another look. Thanks!
Arizona Highways
Thanks again, Gene, for a great dose of nostalgia. Arizona Highways was a big influence on me as kid, in the Fifties, and contributed to a love of the West, and of desert landscape, that is still with me.

Arizona Highways Magazine
In the 70s, my grandparents made a trip to Vancouver, BC. On a visit to their house I noticied a similar type of magazine on the coffee table called Beautiful British Columbia. I made a comment about the nice photos in the mag and the next Christmas, I began receiving a subscription that lasted for the next 10 years. Thanks Nanny and Pappy!

Fantastic
Arizona Highways
Gene Gable, Thanks for the article on Arizona Highways! My mother always had copies of the magazine laying around, even before she retired to Arizona. My favorite cover of all time was a snowy winter shot of the Aspens up near Mt. Lemon. You're mistaken with your prediction however, that Martha Stewart & Wired are going to replace Arizona HIghways on coffee tables. - Never happen!

Awesome AZ Highways
As a long-time resident of AZ, I feel honored to have my great state represented. Also, my wife runs a used magazine area at a local used bookstore and has hundreds of copies of this magazine going back to the 30s and 40s. It's always a pleasure to read and, of course, browse just for the amazing full-page photos. I knew there was a reason I liked you, Gene. :)
Arizona Highways
I can attest to the beauty of imagery published by Arizona Highways. I am friends with some of the photographers that contribute to the magazine who are also National Geographic photographers and some of the best, most creative minds around as well as great people.
