I noticed for whatever reason, if you rotate the text using the transform menu's 3D rotation type-in by -90 degrees on the x axis, the edges of your text will line up perfectly with the 30 degree guide lines. I don't know the maths involved, it just works!

Can't get this to work at all
I have no blue centre point on the tool mentioned.
I have a blue upwards z arrow, a green upwards arrow and a right red arrow.
