Definitely, 5D Mark II is sharp and reliable camera, EXCEPT for their ISO High1 and High2 which creates a vertical line, they are visible when shooting a shadow or darker portions.
I notified Canon Philippines about this, but they said they are still waiting for Canon Hongkong to issue an official statement that this is NORMAL for ISO H1 and H2??????
If you are interested to see the sample of this vertical problems, please send an e-mail to exadidas@gmai.com.
I countered the same problem while shooting with the 5D MarkII. It is very visible, I did try all the setting from Raw to sraw and it was still there even at ISO 100. I talked to somebody at canon over the phone about it, they told me to upgrade the firmware. The think is it was already upgraded. Thinking about resetting the camera to factory setting and see if the old firmware is more reliable .
I don't remember having the same problem when the camera was still new.
