The choices of components and the final image was as fine as I can imagine for teaching "how-to" that can encompass a very wide variety of skills from CS4 Photoshop.

I've seen so many composites where the elements just don't match up, or seem real. This tutorial emphasizes the goal of realism...making the element mesh. Excellent job!

Great tutorial and the composite image is compelling. Too bad only a few of the explanatory images were available at a larger size. I also wish you had explained in more detail how you masked the stone areas of the statue: "I used the adjustment's built-in layer mask and masked the stone areas with a black brush (see Figure 2)." Built-in layer mask? How did you use the black brush?

is it possible for you to make this very wonderful infomation to use PhotoShop, in .pdf files? They are so much easier to print and keep!
