It seems that the author of this article overlooked the fact that on the same day, Canon released its EOS 1D Mark IV with the identical high-ISO rating and 16-megapixel sensor. So, this Nikon - while undoubtedly a great camera - is not the first-of-a-kind.
Also the phenomenon of “rolling shutter” typical to D-SLRs while panning during shooting a movie, has been entirely taken care of in an even earlier model of Canon, namely 5D Mark II. Again, this Nikon model does not seem to have much of a claim to be an industry-first. But I like it, anyway... ;)
