Pantone Plus Color Library Technical Notes
Please note: This Pantone Plus Digital Libraries Installer will make it easy to add the new PLUS SERIES Color Libraries to Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. The Pantone Plus Libraries will be differentiated from the pre-existing Pantone Libraries by a “Pantone+” designation in the Library name.
This installer includes the following Pantone Plus Color Libraries:
Pantone+ Solid Coated
Pantone+ Solid Uncoated
Pantone+ Color Bridge Coated
Pantone+ Color Bridge Uncoated
Pantone+ Premium Metallics Coated
Pantone+ Pastels & Neons Coated
Pantone+ Pastels & Neons Uncoated
Pantone+ CMYK Coated
Pantone+ CMYK Uncoated
System Requirements
Microsoft operating systems: Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7
Apple operating systems: Mac OS X 10.4 or later
Please note that running this installer will replace the existing Pantone Libraries in Adobe Illustrator with the latest versions of the Pantone Libraries in the Pantone Plus SERIES. The Pantone Libraries that currently exist in Adobe Illustrator will be placed in a folder (Program FilesPantone Color Book Backup CS), which can be used again, if needed.
The reason that the Pantone Color Libraries that had been built into Illustrator need to be removed and replaced with the Pantone Plus Color Libraries is that, in Illustrator, a Pantone Color can only have one data point with which it is associated. In the short term, in order to benefit from the new colors and data associated in PLUS, the Pantone Libraries that are installed with Adobe Illustrator are removed and replaced with the new PLUS Libraries.
In Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign, the Pantone Plus SERIES Libraries are installed in addition to the existing Swatch Libraries.
