AKVIS Releases ArtWork 2.0

AKVIS Software, Inc. has released AKVIS ArtWork 2.0. ArtWork applies different painting techniques to digital pictures. Available in Mac and PC versions stand-alone or as a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop, ArtWork helps users create a masterpiece out of an ordinary snapshot. Version 2.0 converts photos into oil paintings and presents a new painting style – Comics. Creating an oil portrait or a comic strip from the last party is just a few clicks away! AKVIS offers a temporary discount to the Business License that allows using the software for commercial purposes.
AKVIS ArtWork is an ideal solution for creative expression and a perfect gift for a creative person. The virtual artist created by AKVIS Software combines advanced painting techniques with a touch of artistic approach to ordinary digital snapshots, making your digital pictures look as if they were real oil paintings. The automatic artist lays brush strokes naturally using the original photo as a reference, allowing creative persons to touch-up the painting by selectively changing the direction of the strokes.
ArtWork gives its users a unique possibility to create realistic paintings out of photos taken with any kind of digital camera, be it a digital SLR, a cell phone or a compact. Unlike many other artistic plug-ins that distort the picture to make it look more or less like a panting, ArtWork benefits from years of research and development and applies sophisticated image transformation algorithms to produce results that come very close to hand-painted works. The abundance of options opens access to many different styles and painting techniques.
The new Comics effect lets you replicate works of famous comics artists with just a few clicks. Make a comic strip from your party photos! Add a rotoscope-like effect, as in the film “A Scanner Darkly”. Just get ArtWork and unleash your creativity.
Pricing and Availability
AKVIS offers a temporary discount to the Business License that allows using the software for commercial purposes. Now design studios and professionals engaged in image processing can get a license for $189 USD instead of $299 USD. AKVIS ArtWork is available as a stand-alone application, as well as a plugin to a photo editor.
