Color Correction Class with Dr. Taz Tally

DesignMentor Training adds Dr. Taz Tally to their highly respected list of professional design instructors. Tally has developed a challenging and detailed 6-lesson class which covers every aspect of color correction. The online class, titled Color Correction challenges students with hands-on exercises and offers one-to-one interaction and mentoring from Dr. Tally. The class topics include managing color setting and profiles, using Levels, histograms and the Curves command, making target-based corrections and preparing images for print using on-screen proofing and CMYK conversion. Students evaluate and correct dozens of images learning how to identify classic color issues and quickly correct them.
“It’s important to offer working creative professionals access to industry gurus who can deliver knowledge that will elevate their career to the next level,” said Doris Granatowski , CEO DesignMentor Training. “Taz is recognized throughout the industry for his ability to make complex information simple and easy to understand.”
Dr. Taz Tally is the president of Taz Tally Seminars, a computer publishing, consulting and training company. Tally is the author of many graphic and print production books including Photoshop Before and After Makeovers, Avoiding the Output Blues, Avoiding the Scanning Blues, and is a contributing author and member of The Photoshop World Dream Team Book. He invented and produced a 10-step scanner and digital camera calibration kit. Tally also has deep experience training creative professionals using instructional videos, CDs, and DVDs on subjects ranging from scanning to prepress, Photoshop, color correction, and font management.
“Making quality digital color corrections is an art and a science,” said Taz Tally, PhD. “With this Color Correction class you’ll learn the most scientific, systematic approach to correcting issues and getting the most out of your images resulting in higher quality work.”
Tally balances his seminar and teaching life with time spent outdoors. He lives in Homer, Alaska where he can spend his free time mountain biking, kayaking, hiking and shooting nature photography in the company of his cardigan-welsh-corgi Zip. We know that Tally pushes boundaries professionally he also pushes them personally-by skiing the powder snows in Utah, diving with the whales in the waters off of Hawaii and prowling the terrains of the Southwest and Mexico.
Classes start upon enrollment and students are able to do their work at their own pace and on their own schedule. Professionals enrolling in the Color Correction class with Dr. Taz Tally must own and have basic experience with Adobe Photoshop CS or CS2. Owning a digital camera and color printer is recommended but not required.
