Combine Images Quickly in Photoshop

In one easy-to-swallow video, you'll learn how to use Photoshop's simple yet powerful Paste Into Command to merge two images.

Photoshop is a valuable tool for editing one image, but you can double your creative options when you use the software to merge two images.

Photoshop's Paste Into command gives you a quick and easy way to combine two images into a masked region. Although I'll demonstrate the feature in CS4, the Paste Into command has been around for a while, so owners of older versions can play along, too.

filters for photoshop

Hello, I´m wondering if it exits a filter to apply a kind of Linchtestein´s pop art -dots or lines- to an image - a wave in a plain color.
It will be a great help to me, thank you in advance

PD: this tip was amazing, thank you!

Re pop art dots effect

I don't know of a filter that does it automatically, but here's a how-to on doing something like that yourself:

Too much work

Much easier to use several layers instead of masks.
1. Create a second layer of original image.
2. Hide original layer image.
3. Select and delete unwanted portion of sky.
4. Copy and paste image of stars on a layer between original image layer and layer with deleted sky.
5. Edit the sky layer as you see fit to do.

This alternative method offers you unlimited editing freedom. So simple even Russell Brown might be able to do it.
