Consumer Digicam Builds In Wi-Fi
Back in the day, we were excited when the cameras in our mobile phones added features that were comparable to those in standalone cameras. Now the trend seems to have reversed. Samsung's new DualView DV300F has built-in wireless connectivity so you can quickly and easily upload its photos and videos to Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, and Picasa. You can also wirelessly transfer files from the camera to a PC and to various cloud services.
Like Samsung's other DualView models, the DV300F includes a 1.5" LCD screen on the front of the camera that helps with self-portraits. Otherwise, this consumer-level point-and-shoot has fairly standard specs: a 16-megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom lens, and a 25mm wide-angle lens.
The DualView DV300F is scheduled to be for sale in March 2012 and cost about $199.
