Create Typographic Compositions with Ampergram

Want to make some cool photographic images of type, but you’re too lazy (or too busy) to take pictures of letters everywhere you go and then assemble them? Well now all you have to do is head to Ampergram.com and harness the power of the Instagram community (and the roughly eleventy billion photos users have uploaded).
You start by selecting a square or rectangular layout.
Then just start typing the letters you want to use.
If you don’t like the first result, you can simply click on it to bring up a set of controls you can use to get a different photo of that letter.
You can also cycle through all photos of that letter, or search by location or keyword, and rearrange letters in your composition.
If you’re typing a common word, you can also switch to word mode and have Ampergram find photos containing the whole word.
When you’re finished fiddling, you can save your creation and you’ll be given a URL where you can access a finished image. You can also download it as a desktop image, and there’s an option to save a high resolution version of your image (for $1).
