A Creative Catharsis
"Can you make the logo bigger?"
"Can you make it pop more?"
"Can you jazz it up a little?"
"Can we make the pig sexier?"
What do you do when your work elicits comments like these (or worse)? Grit your teeth and smile? Make rude gesures to the speakerphone? Remain calm and carry on?
A group of creatives in Ireland got together and turned their least constructive feedback into a most excellent poster project called A Creative Catharsis, and used it raise money for charity. In all, more than 70 poster designs were created to accompany quotes like "could you use an actual logo instead of a font" and "can we dial up the fun factor by around 25%?" They're all great fun, especially if you've ever been in the position of having to respond to comments like these.
The posters were put on exhibition last November and prints were sold for €10, with the proceeds going to the Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin.
