Filter Forge Update 1.010 – Bug Fixes and Minor Changes

Filter Forge, Inc. today released the update 1.010 to Filter Forge, a Photoshop plugin that allows users to create their own filters. The current update fixes the Blend component, adds Index to the Help file and fixes several bugs.

How to update: To download and install the update 1.010, select Tools > Updates from the Filter Forge main menu. The update preserves all downloaded and user-created filters, as well as user settings and the license key. Users who do not want to use the built-in update feature can download and install the update manually from http://www.filterforge.com/download/

List of Updates, Additions and Fixes

  • The following blending modes in the Blend component now use a corrected algorithm: Linear Burn, Linear Dodge, Vivid Light, and Luminosity. The previous version of the Blend component can be found in the Obsolete category under the name of "Blend 1.005".

  • Added Index to the Help file.
  • Fixed an Access Violation error which occurred in the Bricks component when the American Bond was selected.
  • Fixed an Access Violation error which occurred in Worley-based components at the maximum value of the Stretch parameter with Solid Fill turned on.
  • Fixed a bug with cursor position on the trial splash screen.
  • Fixed a bug which prevented correct rendering of thumbnails for preinstalled filters.
  • Upgraded libpng library from 1.2.12 to 1.2.18.
