Free Photoshop Plug-in from Filter Forge

Filter Forge, Inc., has released the Mac OS X version of Filter Forge Freepack 1 – Metals, the first in the series of free Photoshop plug-ins, and announced the expiration date of the 30% discount on all editions of Filter Forge.
The freepacks are free thematic Photoshop plug-ins based on the technology used in the company’s flagship product, Filter Forge, an innovative plug-in allowing users to create their own filters — visual effects, distortions, patterns, backgrounds, frames and more. Each freepack can generate seamless resolution-independent textures and effects with professional-grade anti-aliasing, and takes full advantage of dual-core processors.
The theme of the first Filter Forge freepack is metals — the plug-in comprises seven filters that produce realistic metal textures and effects. Alien Metal produces a sci-fi texture of an alien-looking metallic surface; Brushed Metal generates a texture of brushed aluminum; Foil produces a texture of crumpled aluminum foil; Diamond Plate creates a texture of an industrial diamond plate floor; Metal Panels generates a metal plating texture; Metalizer produces a smooth metallic surface based on the brightness of the source image; and Rust renders patches of corrosion over the darker areas of the source image.
The free plug-in is available for download at the company website: https://www.filterforge.com/download/. Registration is not required. This and other freepacks are also available for Windows.
Additionally, only seven days are left before the expiration of the 30% discount on all editions of Filter Forge. The offer ends on June 10. To buy Filter Forge with a 30% discount and save up to $90, go to www.filterforge.com/buy/.
