In a recent blog post, Jonathan Hoefler and Tobias Frere-Jones revealed, "Designers at H&FJ can't resist outfitting our fonts with those little extras. Whether it's a set of symbols that makes a font more useful, or a handful of ornaments that makes it more delicious, even H&FJ's most sober typefaces have moments of sheer exuberance. Below, some hidden treasures that rarely come to light: see these, and thousands of others, exclusively at H&FJ."

Note that fonts from other foundries may also have ornaments that can act as mini illustrations. To see all the glyphs in a typeface, select a face in a software program and then open that program's glyph palette.

Loved this as I rarely think to go into glyphs for this sort of material. I think that this reminder will save me time and work to the benefit of my clients in the future. Thanks!!
