Hipstamatic Update & Printing Service

Hipstamatic is a $1.99 iPhone app that simulates the look of vintage toy cameras’ lenses, flashes, and film. It debuted on the App Store in December 2009 and was instantly popular.
While app maker Synthetic Corp has updated Hipstamatic a few times since then, today marks what they’re calling the “biggest update to the application yet.” Dubbed Hipstamatic 170, it includes the following new features:
* HipstaMart Print Lab – order high quality archival prints delivered to your door
* Tumblr sharing of Prints and Stacks
* Ability to completely disable the LED flash on iPhone 4 (in Settings app)
* New Medium print quality mode (applies to iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 only)
* New Mission HipstaPak (includes Bettie XL lens and Ina’s 1935 film)
The HipstaMart Print Lab lets you order analog prints of your HipstaPrints and have them mailed to you. The company says that the processing and paper are archival-quality, and for these prices, let’s hope so: Four four-inch prints are $4.99, nine four-inch prints are $9.99, three seven-inch prints are $7.99, and nine seven-inch prints are $19.99.
The HipstaMart Print Lab is available in North America today, but Europe will have to wait until October 1, 2010, and the rest of the world until November 1, 2010.
