New Product: ArcSoft Magic-i Visual Effects

ArcSoft, Inc. announced the release of ArcSoft Magic-i™ Visual Effects today at the 2007 CeBIT exhibition. A smaller, simpler, and easier-to-use version of Magic-i 3, ArcSoft’s popular webcam-enhancing application, Magic-i Visual Effects augments the video chat experience through frames, effects, and themes.
“Magic-i Visual Effects is a great way for our OEM customers to provide a little extra fun and creativity with their webcams or webcam applications,” said Michael Downs, ArcSoft Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. “It provides a set of easy to use effects that are added in real time to the video stream of another application, such as ArcSoft WebCam Companion.”
Magic-i Visual Effects provides both still and animated frames, interactive themes, and a variety of effects. It also automatically enhances video quality by adjusting brightness and contrast. Using ArcSoft’s new “Video Plug-in” technology, Magic-i Visual Effects launches automatically with video chat clients and webcam applications. Its unobtrusive panel interface allows users to select fun effects without distracting from their video chat experience. Magic-i Visual Effects is available now for OEM licensing.
ArcSoft Magic-i Visual Effects Key Features:

  • Automatically launches when any video conversation started
  • Provides Fun Frames and Animation Frame templates; Distort, Mirror, and Filter effects; and interactive themes
  • Includes ability to download additional effects or content as plug-ins
  • Provides face tracking and digital pan, tilt, and zoom
  • Automatically enhances video quality by adjusting brightness and contrast
