New Twitter Resources

Twitter recently redesigned its Web interface. To mark the occasion, it also updated its logos, icons, widgets, and follow and tweet buttons.
You can download all the new assets for free from the Twitter Resources page. Here are just a few of the many options:

Before you use them anywhere, though, you might want to take a look at the updated Guidelines for Use of the Twitter Trademarks.
I certainly learned a few things by reading the guidelines; for instance, Twitter does not want you to depict the Twitter bird as a “spokesperson to carry your logos or messaging (for example, your logo next to or being carried by the bird)”.

It’s an interesting change, but it sort of kills a lot of smaller businesses out there that already use the word “tweet” or “twitter” in their business name or use the Twitter bird in their logos. I’ve been seeing a lot of small companies changing their names.
