Photoshop Detail Enhancement Plug-in Upgraded

Topaz Labs announces the release of the Topaz Detail 2 Photoshop plug-in, which features a user-requested speed boost, a totally redesigned user interface, and more detail enhancement tools and presets. Detail 2 brings a quicker and more effective detail enhancement workflow to photographers.
According to Dr. Albert Yang, president of Topaz Labs, “Since the release of Detail 1, users have responded with overwhelming feedback about the unique capabilities of this new technology. However, many customers felt that it was too slow. In this new release, we were able to push the technology further and triple the speed of the program.”
Topaz Detail’s underlying algorithm employs the most recent advances in detail enhancement technology. This new technology provides the unique ability to enhance detail and micro-contrast, with no over-sharpening, edge artifacts or halos, which often occur with other sharpening tools. Topaz Detail features three levels of detail control, high-quality image sharpening, natural feature enhancement, and black and white conversion.

The new user interface is dark and sleek, and includes useful interface options to customize the user’s workflow. Detail 2 has a valuable lineup of new features including a redesigned and adjustable user interface, undo and redo buttons a new presets layout and a new blur reduction tool.
Topaz Detail’s flexible image enhancement capability is idea for photographers and allows them to revive and intensify intricate image details that can really help define an image.
Topaz Detail 2 is a free upgrade for existing customers and retails for $39.99. It is compatible with Windows and Intel-based Macs.

    I use the previous on a lot of my photos, mostly give a small detail adjust, not over the top type. It really gives pictures the extra clarity. This update solved my major complain about the speed. I also love the new GUI.
