Photoshop How-To: Dancing with Type

Create text on a path, then adjust it without feeling like you have two left feet.

Text that swoops and swirls all over a page can be a good thing or a bad thing. The key to successful text on a path is to use it only when the subject matter calls for it, and to finesse the type with the right positioning, point size, and tracking.

This combination of the Zapfino typeface and a dancer, both lithe and graceful, works well.

In this video tutorial, Russell Brown, senior creative director at Adobe, shows you how to do just that in Photoshop CS2.

I love the video option

It may be splitting hairs comparing the versatility of PDFs versus video format when demonstrating design techiques. Providing both may be best in a perfect world. However, video is arguably more intuitive. Either way, thanks for sharing, Mr. Brown.

Don't Like Format

I don't always have time to stop during my day and watch a video. Your Tips and Tricks are much more appreciated in pdf format.
