Quark Offers Discounted Training As Part of Its New iLove Design Campaign

Quark Inc. announced today that as part of its new iLove Design campaign, customers can purchase QuarkXPress® 7 and receive a 20 percent discount on one-, two-, or three-day courses offered by participating QuarkAlliance™ Authorised Partner Training Providers. Customers will also continue to receive Quark Interactive Designer™ and Quark® XPert Tools Pro.
The campaign, which has been created by leading UK digital advertising agency Neoco, centers on a community-based Web site, www.ilovedesign.com, that features exclusive content from leading industry designers David Carson, Peter Saville, Chip Kidd, and many more. Users have the opportunity to showcase their own work and become part of a design community. The Web site is supported by competitions, seminars, viral marketing, e-mail marketing, and online and offline media activities.
Building on the love theme from Quark’s highly successful “Fall in love with QuarkXPress 7” campaign, the campaign runs from 14th February, 2008, to 15th June, 2008. From 14th February customers can purchase new or upgrade copies of QuarkXPress 7 and receive a 20% discount on one-, two-, or three-day QuarkXPress 7 training courses offered by participating QuarkAlliance Authorised Partner Training Providers. A record number of more than one hundred training providers are participating in this promotion across the globe.
“QuarkAlliance was founded to broaden the reach of our partner community and to create and define a network of resources for Quark’s customers,” says Cyndie Shaffstall, director, QuarkAlliance. “A network of authorized training providers enables quick adoption and successful use of Quark software, so we are thrilled that our current training provider community has grown with the addition of new authorized partner training providers. With this expansion, we now offer our customers even more choices in local, regional, and global training centres.”
Customers that purchase new or upgrade copies of QuarkXPress 7 will also have access to other training and support offers, such as discounts on QuarkXPress 7 books and free on-line training tutorials. In addition to this, QuarkXPress 7 customers will continue to receive Quark Interactive Designer and Quark XPert Tools Pro at no additional charge. The expiration date for the campaign is 15th June, 2008, and the training-offer promotion will expire on 1st November, 2008.
“This campaign is all about being inspired to create amazing designs. Visitors to the Web site can watch and listen as design icons such as Carson, Saville, and Kidd tell their own stories, as well as view samples of work from leading global brands and their fellow designers. They are also encouraged to join this community by creating their own profiles and uploading samples of their own design work,” commented Gavin Drake, Quark marketing director. “Like design itself, QuarkXPress is constantly evolving and the learning process is something that should never end. That is why we want to give our customers the opportunity to maximise the design opportunities available to them in QuarkXPress 7 through dedicated QuarkXPress 7 training courses.”
