Updates to Photo Enhancement Software

Press Release
AKVIS Enhancer is image enhancement software that can improve every part of an image and detect detail in underexposed, overexposed and mid tone areas of a photo with uneven exposure.
The software provides three modes: “Improve Detail”, “Prepress”, and “Tone Correction”. Though the main goal of these modes, correction, is the same, each approaches the task differently:
In “Improve Detail” mode the program brings out details by intensifying color transition. It strengthens the difference between adjacent pixels having different color gradations and therefore reveals not only details in shadows but even details in the overexposed and mid tone areas. The tool is useful in cases when a photo has an uneven exposure, for example, a photo taken with a bright light source, which makes objects in the foreground difficult to discern. This is especially annoying when you take a picture of a person, or when a photo lacks dramatic effect you had intended due to vagueness of the scene.
The new “Prepress mode”, introduced in Version 12.0, helps adjust photos before printing or web publishing. Use this mode to increase the sharpness of borders and the image’s contrast. Even a high quality photograph needs prepress processing to give it a professional look.
“Tone Correction” mode improves images through tone correction, by correcting the brightness of points in the light and dark areas. As a result the overall impression of the image improves considerably. Changes can be made to the entire image or only to a part of it depending on the colors you select.
In Version 12 two of Enhancer’s modes, available in the previous versions, “Focus” and “HDR”, were separated from the program and, enriched with some new features, are now offered as AKVIS Refocus and AKVIS HDRFactory. All registered users of Enhancer v.1.0-11.5 can get these new programs for free!
The new version of AKVIS Enhancer also includes support for batch processing in the standalone edition. It is available in all three modes of the program. Batch processing is useful when dealing with a series of photos taken under the same conditions with identical camera settings. It saves you time and effort! https://akvis.com/en/enhancer-tutorial/howwork/batch-processing.php

– Added support for RAW files (CRW, NEF, ORF, PEF etc – see the full list here).
