Xerox Makes it Easier for Print Buyers, Print Providers to Access Digital Technology, Services Worldwide

Xerox Corporation’s (NYSE: XRX) Graphic Arts Premier Partners network is making it easier for print buyers and creative-services professionals to find digital print providers not just in their own city but around the world.
With Xerox’s updated Web site at www.xerox.com/xpp, print buyers have access to more than 300 members in North America, Europe, South America and the newly opened Asia-Pacific region, a growing market for digital printing. The community includes some of the world’s most advanced digital print service providers that are able to handle fast job turnarounds, short print runs, and applications such as personalization, direct marketing and books on-demand.
For example, Function, a graphic design and strategy firm in Decatur, Ga., recently needed to find a print provider in the Atlanta area for a job requiring a Xerox iGen3â„¢ Digital Production Press. The company used the Web site to identify the best partner for the job.
"The Xerox Premier Partners community makes it easy to find exactly what we need," said Kat Lemmer, director of production, Function. "I was prepared to devote hours to a search. Instead, one visit to the Xerox Web site and I located a local printer. They did a fantastic job and have become a valued resource."
Members of the Xerox Graphic Arts Premier Partners network also can turn to the site when they do not have the job expertise, own the right equipment for a specific project, or need the job printed in a different region or country.
That’s what Premier Partner David Wolfskehl, managing director of Action Fast Print in Edison, N.J., decided to do when a customer requested a project in the Netherlands that he would not have been able to do without the Premier Partners network.
"Using Xerox Premier Partners resources means not having to say ‘no’ to our customers," said Wolfskehl. "I went to the Web site and found more than a dozen potential partners, finally working with Jubels. This is an invaluable business tool that extends the global reach of my business."
According to Jeroen van Druenen, director of marketing and sales for Jubels, working with Action Fast Print "opened new business opportunities for us. We worked as a team to meet our clients’ needs, and the relationship that has developed between our companies has far exceeded both of our expectations."
Xerox collaborated with its joint-venture company, Fuji Xerox, to open the Asia-Pacific region to the Graphic Arts Premier Partners community. About 100 new members are expected in this region by the end of the year.
According to Joanna Boo, managing director, JCS Digital Solutions Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, "Working with Xerox Premier Partners has opened up new business avenues for us on a global scale. Since joining the community, we have worked with partners in Europe to create short-run digital color projects using our iGen3 press and black-and-white jobs on DocuTech printers. We plan to expand our reach into other regions."
In today’s global print community, success is driven by collaboration and cooperation. "It makes good business sense for Xerox to work with our customers, share knowledge, and help members find new revenue streams and increase profits with digital printing," said Tom Wetjen, vice president, worldwide graphic communications industry business, Xerox Production Systems Group.
