George Wedding
George Wedding is a freelance photographer, technology writer, and computer-imaging consultant. In addition to writing about photography, he reports on technology for publications that have included "PEI" and "Digitalfoto" magazines, among others. In 1999, he served as Output Technology Editor of "Digital Camera" magazine, and in 1994 was the author of "An Introduction to Digital Photo Imaging," published by Agfa. He founded The Digital Photography Workshops in 1991 and has consulted with a diverse range of firms, including Apple Computer, Eastman Kodak, Gannett Newspapers, Nikon, and the U.S. Army. Based near Sacramento, California, Wedding is the former director of photography at "The Sacramento Bee." He was named Newspaper Photographer of the Year in 1980 by the National Press Photographers Association and twice was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in photography.
