Jeff Wignall

I am a photographer and writer and the author of numerous books on photography including, The Joy of Digital Photography (Lark Books, 2006), The Kodak Guide to Shooting Great Travel Pictures (Fodors Travel Publications, 2003), Kodak's Most Basic Book of 35mm Photography (Silver Pixel Press) and Winning Pictures (Silver Pixel Press). (By the way, the latter book is just out of print, but if you're interested in winning photo contests, it's a great book to find. I often see copies on Ebay and Amazon for sale.)

My newest book, Exposure Photo Workshop, was published by Wiley on March 1, 2008.

I am also the writer, principal photographer and voice-over artist for the two-day Sony Digital Days program that is currently touring the country and was recently released on DVD. And I am a regular contributor to the Black Star Rising blog that is published by the legendary photojournalism agency, Black Star. I produce web content for a number of major clients, including Fodor's Travel Publications and Popular Photography magazine.

I've been writing about photography for more than 30 years and I'm a former "Camera" columnist for the Sunday New York Times and I'm the former Technical and New Products Editor for Photo District News.

I am a frequent contributor to a number of photo magazines including: American Photo, Outdoor Photographer, PC Photo Digital, Digitalis Foto (Budapest, Hungary), and BottomLine/Tomorrow. My photos appear regularly in books, magazines and advertisements.

I also do a regular broadcast FM radio show on WPKN 89.5 FM in Bridgeport, Connecticut and WPKM 88.7 FM in Montauk, Long Island and I'm the benefit concert/events coordinator at WPKN and WPKM. I also do regular voice-over work.

In addition, I am a commercial writer and ad copywriter and do regular advertising and advertorial work for several major clients in the photo industry, including: Sony, Canon, Nikon, Olympus and Mamiya cameras.

Thousands of my photos have been published in books, magazines, caldendars, posters, greeting cards and major websites.

I am also a voice actor.
