On the other hand, with no competition, Adobe has never stopped innovating with Photoshop. Unlike Quark, which languished for years at Version 4, Adobe seems to realize two things: (1) If you don't innovate, it leaves a gaping hole for your competitiors to fill and (2) innovation drives upgrades and generates sales.
