Rasterize Layer Styles vs Create Layers?
Comment by Terry Veiga on May 21, 2012
Thanks for describing these great enhancements to CS6. Also, the new functionality to Rasterize Layer Style is okay, but I hope the old CS5 ability to Create Layers from a style is still in tact. This really helps to isolate individual effects then fine tune them. -Terry
FoldFactory.com rocks!
Comment by Terry Veiga on March 2, 2012
I stumbled upon FoldFactory a few years back and still have the huge telephone book-sized reference books with tons of folding information. Trish Witkowski was on her game back then and she knocked this article out of the park. Mad respect, Trish! Terry Veiga
Say it ain't so...

Man, I still can't believe there are no more incandescent lightbulbs being produced! And now Kodak is not, well, Kodak. What's next, all books and newspapers will only be available on tablet devices? Definitely drives home that the only constant is "change." Good luck, Kodak.
OMGoodness!

Okay, who else thought poor Art was going to be shown with boards impaled through his chest?
Useful

Finally!

I've always wondered what were the differences and just never got around to researching it. I've always used "Neue" for no other reason than it sounded so modern, lol. Thanks for the article. Blessings & Prosperity to all, -Terry
I really enjoyed this

Thanks for a timely story and the example projects were very interesting – even The Governator's, LOL.
Thank you, Steve. Rest in peace.

Thanks for putting together this great tribute. I'll never forget the very day at university as a first-year computer science major. I was complaining about being behind on a term paper and someone suggested I go to the "Mac Lab" to type and print it. The "Mac" what?! From the moment I sat down all the way until I asked the person next to me, "how do I print?," I was hooked.
Pretty Please...

Hello Corel: Please don't let the still awesome *KPT Collection* Photoshop plugin die. There hasn't been an update in years. It is still a workhorse of a suite and I'm itching to give you my money to keep it alive. Thank you, Terry
Looks pretty good

I use a lot of stock art sites and I must say the navigation on this site is pretty cool if not interesting. It may take a moment to get used to the browsing implementation, however, I quickly realized that it's a quick way to scan a lot of images. Very fast and good selection, too.
Thanks a lot, but...

There's still something wrong with the color correction -- that gator is white! ;)
Add Animation features a la Photoshop
Comment by Terry Veiga on October 21, 2008
Please incorporate the same Animation functionality (Frames and Timeline) that's in Photoshop BUT go one step further and also include the ability to export those animations as a vector Flash/SWF format. And while you're at it, please incorporate the same vector Flash/SWF export capability in Photoshop. Thanks in advance.
Thanks, but...

...where's the link to the manufacturer's Web site and where's the MSRP info?
Great shots!

Thanks for sharing your experience and insights. Also, I'm curious as to how many photos and at what resolution does it take to fill (4) 4GB and (1) 8GB cards? And do you have an online photo gallery of your convention coverage? Take care, Terry
I love to hate Quark, but...

Excellent Info!

About every two years, I get a Word or PowerPoint layout request that keeps me chasing my tail for a couple of days. I always have to perform a cryptic mix of Export/Insert of various graphic formats then test on a PC to see how much I screwed it up.
Awesome!

As a graphic designer with little knowledge of photography other than providing magazine tear outs or fuzzy downloaded thumbnails to a photographer and saying, "I like this effect," this is great information. THANKS!
I'm not convinced
Comment by Terry Veiga on August 10, 2007
Hmm, maybe it was the tutorial example (or just me), however, I'm not sure how this cloning method would be easier, faster, or more flexible than just duplicating and transforming individual layers??
I love the video option
Comment by Terry Veiga on June 11, 2007
It may be splitting hairs comparing the versatility of PDFs versus video format when demonstrating design techiques. Providing both may be best in a perfect world. However, video is arguably more intuitive. Either way, thanks for sharing, Mr. Brown.
