No basketball !

6'3" and I've never been much use on the court, in spite of all the suggestions --foremost those from my 5'6" dad (who was actually pretty good, in spite of his stature). And speaking of seeking out shorter people, I've ended up settling in Japan, where perhaps 99% of the population is well below my height. I'm always happy to help others with the stuff on hight shelves, though ;)

Thanks Gene for this somewhat tongue-in-cheek look at Thanksgivings past and present. It's certainly a good thing that "Thanksgiving" was written on one of the pictures of the maskers, and that there was a note about the pennies as well --otherwise the ever-growing Halloween monster would have surely consumed them both.

Thanks for doing this Gene-- over the years things have indeed gone askew. Safety, self-reliance, patriotism: all are worthy ideals, but guns have long since ceased to play the vital role in society that they once did and now cause much more harm than good.

Thanks again to Gene for finding a useful message in an otherwise largely forgotten medium. Alas, many producers and consumers of PowerPoint presentations likely would not even understand this critique, feeling that a printed handout of the slides that does not stand on its own is somehow useless.
