The Panel Dock.

Comment by brettaylor on September 25, 2007

As pretty as this feature may be, to me it's worthless. In fully-expanded mode it does nothing you couldn't do before, and in icon-and-name or icon-only mode, as the article mentions, you can only view one panel at a time. I don't need features that make my job MORE complicated. Removing functionality is moronic.

Good-bye.

You raise some good points, but some clients just aren't worth the money. When you say good-bye to one of them , it SHOULD be final.

Firing Clients

Well said. Especially the part about being caught unawares - that happened to me a lot in the early part of my career, mainly because I assumed that people I considered friends wouldn't try to cheat me. Live and learn, I guess. Bret Taylor howyadoin graphics

Insincerest form of flattery

I think your attitude is contemptible - it's okay to steal as long as you don't get caught? That's a great lesson to teach people. I'd be really interested in seeing your response if somebody followed your advice and (deservedly) ended up in court. If you like the style of other people's work so much, try creating some of your own. Assuming you're capable, that is.

Small Fry

Quote: "I'd like to know if I am your biggest client or your smallest. My preference is to be somewhere in between; I don't want you depending largely on me for work and I don't want to be a small fry in your operation." That's just irrational. Like it or not, SOMEBODY has to be the smallest client.

Multiple undos?

Does Quark 5 have multiple undos? I always thought that was the single biggest failing of the program (that and the fact that some things can't be undone at all).
