What I do is, compromise on design and keep it simple but brand appropriately. It isnt the best solution but the only one I have found suitable in these situations. I set up a background image for master pages, opening page and inside slides. I keep the file simple so it does not bloat the subsequent files generated. I set up color palette and style sheets.

I am so glad to hear the people here are not entertaining spec work. If you dont put a price on the work you do, it has no value to the recipient. It is not positive in any way for designers. Occasionally, there is a cause I like to donate to and that is my choice. Much better than spec.

Julieanne is truly a creative spirit. I enjoyed her refreshing excerpt and applaud her philosophy that blends well for a creative spirit. Thank you for sharing.

Olfa cutters

Until I read this great article I thought I was the only designer left on earth who relishes in her olfa cutter. Love that sound. And long retired Schaefer waxer!! I love nostalgia, but i love my MACs more! i agree, the current tools are loved just as much if not more. Thanks for the time travel. I enjoyed it.
