Creating a Silhouette

Hi Fellow Members, I'm new to Photoshop and I've just joined Creative Pro. I've recently downloaded the trial version of Adobe CS5. I'm working of doing a logo for my business to get a promotion going from January 2, 2012. I read tutorials on how to create silhouettes and I tried making a few of some of my fashion photographs. I got three done so far although I had some difficulty since I'm new at this.
