I feel an upgrade headache coming on

Comment by MJ Gavenda on October 7, 2003

While all-in-one packaging is a good idea for Adobe and a somewhat good idea for users, I can't help but feel quite overwhelmed in having to learn all the upgrades at once. (Heck, I haven't even loaded OSX yet.) I hope Adobe keeps in mind that we all can't take a month off to learn how everything works together and offers us some comprehensive CD tutorial training to get us up to speed.

PM still has a following

I both agree and disagree with this article. I disagree that pagemaker is only for business users. There are MANY of us who are designers who started in PM and are now in our own businesses and still using it. In fact, PM can do things (like page imposition) that Quark cannot without a pricey add-on. Adobe has ignored this user base in favor of pursuing the Quark users--a big mistake.

how about spot color adobe?

Once again, I am disappointed that PS 6 does not include a better integrated spot color function. (At least I have not read that it does.) Many of us are still in the print world out here and need to create graphics using the Pantone system. The way PS 5+ works with it now is, to say the least, confusing and limited.
