Keeping too much information

I'm seeing a growing use of content management systems. Does anyone know if they are portable to a small format?

Hoping they don't become another Microsoft

I realize that it would be silly to keep duplicate programs, but I hope that they combine the best of each program into one program that would make all users happy. I know myself, I prefer Illustrator, but there was one thing in a logo that I did, that I ended up HAVING to export the logo from Freehand. I needed the logo to be an EPS and to be importable by Microsoft Word 2000 AND 2003.

I think it will take a while

I enjoy the Adobe products. I love Photoshop and and I love InDesign. I don't like the fact that Adobe is getting SO big. I'm afraid they'll turn into another Microsoft.

Are we helping or hurting?

I agree that I think that companies are probably taking advantage of our "trying to do good". Not only do those recycled papers now appear to be more expensive, it is the same way with "healthier" foods. To eat "healthier" cost more and yet our health insurance will continue to rise as well. The Dollar seems to always win out more so than saving our resources.

Finally, a list of features

Sandee, You had just mentioned that Quark ought to leak a few features for their users and I just found an article doing just that. Here's the web link for anyone who wants to check it out. Some of the features you mentioned on your "want" list are included. <http://www.thinksecret.com/news/quarkxpress6.html>
