I've been a freelancer/virtual office person for around 15 years, and I can't imagine going back to an office building, a commute, and a shirt with buttons. And besides, my dog and I would really miss each other. Seriously, the key for me has been to keep a semblance of regular hours, so I have a personal life (my wife likes that) to go with along with my ideally-shaped work life.
