I was getting nervous when I saw the first two solutions for fixing the "word windows." Inserting a non-breaking space or a manual line break in the example shown resulted in horrible spacing throughout the paragraph. Fixing one problem caused another.

Hopefully, for consumers, the battle between Quark and Adobe will continue. The competition will only make each of their respective applications better. As a Quark user for several years, I will probably stay with Quark -- even as InDesign progresses towards the mature, feature-rich program that everyone hopes it will be.
