Editor's Corner: Introducing the Redesigned CreativePro.com
I'm proud to announce that the CreativePro.com redesign is officially LIVE!
We had many goals for the redesign, but most of them came from one core purpose: making the site a richer experience for you. That's
why we added forums, blogs, polls, more RSS feeds, and an article ratings system you control. That's why we gave you new ways to slice
content by topic, date, kind, product/company, and author.
To enjoy a few of those features, such as posting in the forums, you'll have to log in as a member. For help logging in, go to
our orientation article. If you're
not already a member, you can sign up here. As always, membership is free.
As you know from past newsletters, this project was months in the making. A major overhaul of a Web site with content reaching back to 1999
can't happen overnight. We'll be making a few more tweaks in the coming weeks; for example, we'll improve the Blogs page so it's easier for
you to keep up with particular authors.
If there's anything you'd like us to work on, we'd love to hear it! Just post your requests in the "About the New Site" section of
the forums.
Scanning Around with Gene: Happy Birthday, Peace Symbol
As part of the redesign, we've transformed Gene Gable's "Scanning Around with Gene" into a weekly blog. His first post
is about the peace symbol, which just turned 50. I hope I look that good at that age!

digital SLR market, this camera is indeed a strong contender. If you're upgrading from an SLR that's older
