creativeprose - the weekly newsletter for creative professionals, by CreativePro.com | Where Creatives Go to Know
Editor's Corner: Bits and Bobs

I usually focus on one topic in this newsletter introduction, but this week there's just too much swimming around in my head. Here are three unrelated bits of information you might enjoy:

1. Mystery solved! I thought the darkly funny video series You Suck at Photoshop might be the product of a gutsy Adobe marketing genius. I was wrong. The true brains behind the how-to hilarity are revealed here.

2. FontStruct is a free, online tool for building TrueType fonts that you can use on the Mac or Windows. You can also share your font on the site, as hundreds have already done.

Four glyphs from the free picture font Kawaii!, designed using FontStruct:

3. When we launched the CreativePro.com redesign, clicking on the Print icon at the bottom of an article gave you a page that looked pretty much like the Web page, ads and all. Now those print-ready pages are much friendlier. No ads on the right, no nav bars on the left -- just text and images from the center column. To let us know about other site improvements you'd like to see, please post in our Forums.

Starting this Wednesday, I'll be at the extravaganza of instruction and insanity known as the ADIM conference. Look for my full report in next week's newsletter!
