    The Future of Software?

When it comes to software, would you rather rent or own?

That's the question you may ask yourself soon if you rely on Adobe programs. Starting in 2012, Adobe will roll out the full version of what it's calling the "Creative Cloud". When you hear the word "cloud", you may think of storage services, such as Dropbox. Adobe's Creative Cloud will include some storage but a lot more, too: tablet apps; web-site hosting and management; webfonts; collaboration features; and all 18 software programs in the Creative Suite Master Collection.

For details and the cost of this new entity, read "What Do You Think of the Creative Cloud?"

Add Scrolling Images or Text to a Tablet App

When you want the iPad or Android app you're creating in InDesign to show more content than will fit on one fixed screen, use the Pan and Zoom feature of Adobe's Digital Publishing Suite to create a scrollable frame holding anything you wish. Jennifer Wills shows you how.
