Let's Talk!
If you receive our daily email newsletter, you may have noticed that we recently added a link to our Twitter feed, which is named CreativeProse. We also have a Facebook account. One significant change we haven't mentioned anywhere before is that you can now respond to forum posts and comment on any CreativePro.com article without having to first sign in as a registered member.
We made these changes because we want to communicate with you in any way that works for you. We hope you take advantage of as many of the following communication channels as you want:
* Daily newsletter
* Weekly newsletter
* RSS feeds (29 to choose from!)
* Twitter: the general CreativePro.com feed, and the feed dedicated to Scanning Around with Gene
* Facebook
* Forums
* Article comments (at the bottom of every article on the site)
* Weekly podcast (listen on our site or subscribe to it in iTunes)

TypeTalk: Stroking Text in QuarkXPress
In QuarkXPress, you can apply a stroke (called a "frame" in XPress) to text. You can even affect whether that stroke falls on the inside or outside of the characters. But, as Ilene Strizver cautions, just don't try to edit the text after you apply the stroke.
