Tweet Tweet Tweet
Twitter gets so much press that it's easy to understand why some people are turned off by the hype. And it's true that being on Twitter isn't guaranteed to turn around an ailing business. Nor is it the most accurate source of creative pro information.

However, Twitter can be very useful. Since we created a CreativePro.com Twitter account (@CreativeProse), we've watched Twitter drive substantial traffic to the site. We've also successfully used @InDesignMag (the Twitter handle for our sister publication, InDesign Magazine) to alert followers to Twitter-only subscription discounts and relevant news.

If you haven't already dipped a toe in the Twitter waters, it can't hurt to try. Joining is free, you can follow whomever you want, and if you dislike it, just stop reading tweets. To join Twitter, go here. To add a friendly face, go to the @CreativeProse page and click "Follow."

If you try it and like it, you may want to personalize your Twitter page. I wrote a short tutorial on how to do just that.
