Fly the Arty Skies
Many of us travel at this time of year, and although visiting family or exotic locales can be exciting, getting there is often a grind. Flying is especially a drag, with its long lines, security checks, and baggage fees. But if you use the powers of observation you've honed as a creative pro, you may spot pretty or even provocative art installations in the terminal you're hustling through. Here are a few examples of current airport art:

Before you leave on your trip (or while you're waiting for a connecting flight), go to your favorite search engine and type in the name of your airport and the words "airport art exhibit" or "airport art display". You should get details on what's current and where to find the installations.

This blog juxtaposes images — photos, illustrations, book endpapers, and more — and writing that is sometimes a quotation, sometimes a seemingly random phrase. The results are... interesting.
