Game-Changing Cameras
Have you noticed the rise of unusual still cameras that shoot unusual video? Take the Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Not only is it a full-frame camera, but the video is high-definition, and you can use Canon lenses while you capture footage. That means you can shoot fisheye video, for instance, as long as you have a fisheye lens.

At $2,699, you wouldn't buy the 5D Mark II on a whim. The $999 Nikon D90, a D-SLR that captures 24fps high-definition video, is more affordable. And then there's the $599 Casio EXILIM EX-FH20. This advanced point-and-shoot can capture 40 high-resolution still images in one second. It also shoots high-def video and records movement too fast for the human eye, which you can then play back in sloooooow motion. (For more on the Casio EXILIM EX-FH20, listen to this week's podcast. It includes interesting analyses of recent events, plus juicy software tips for anyone interested in being more efficient with the tools you already own.)

While the 5D Mark II, D90, and EX-FH20 may not look different, they're the crest of a wave.

It only takes a few seconds on YouTube to prove that the ability to shoot video doesn't equal the ability to make a good movie. But mark my words -- forward-thinking people who once limited their job description to "photographer" will pick up the skills and start adding "videographer" to their resume.

Review: Adobe Dreamweaver CS4
Owners of CS3 who don't build sites from scratch may not find this upgrade worthwhile, says Tom Negrino, but for everyone else, the new features and improvements of older tools are well worth the cost.
